Hand decorated and fired in-store in our very own kiln, this bone china mug features a hand-illustrated representation (designed by Cotswolds-based illustrator Gemma Hastilow) of the yew trees located in St Edward's Church, Stow-on-the-Wold. Rumour has it that this was the inspiration behind J.R.R. Tolkien's Doors of Durin, the west gate of Moria that appears in a scene in the The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
A percentage from the sale of each mug goes towards the upkeep of St. Edward's Church
Our small mug measures approximately 77mm x 85mm and holds up to 330ml
Our large mug measures approximately 85mm x 89mm and holds up to 390ml
